Really? The Bulldogs were very good -- especially on defense... but better than USC? Methinks not, but we will never know, thanks to the BCS.

I didn't say they were better than USC. I was just stating that just like CBB Georgia was going in with tons of momentum and playing some of their best ball of the season, at just right time. Hence, they wouuld have recieved a higher seed due to their current situation.

Muss was probably right with the USC LSU statement. I think they were the only team that matched up with LSU. Definitely the two best teams in America this year........IMHO

To add......I would fully support a playoff structure like I outlined in the other topic.

What a bunch of rubbish! LSU had two losses, did the teams they lost to not deserve to even be in those games? If I remember LSU also came from behind late to squeak out a couple other wins.

USC beat UW by 3.....I'd consider that a squeaker. What do they deserve for that victory?

Two losses should not and would not keep a good team out of a true national playoff game, but should keep them out of the BCS title bowl game.

In place of who...? Hawaii. Maybe a Kansas team that couldn't win their division or conference? Another 2 loss team?

This year LSU was #7 in the second-to-last polls, then leap-frogged some other deserving teams (like Georgia) to get instilled as #2 and earn the right to play in this game.

At least you make sense here.....LSU did earn the right to play and made the most of it. Well almost....UGA isn't deserving, their own coach admitted it based on the fact that they couldnt win their division or conference. No self respecting UGA fan can argue that fact, although after reading some CFB message-boards it's apparent there are alot of UGA fans that aren't self-respsecting.

On a side note, did anyone else think it was odd to have Urban Meyer in the booth? At least it wasn't Holtz.

Not really. He plays LSU on a yearly basis and he played Ohio State in this exact game last year.

I know many non-Florida fans think he is arrogant but he is a nice guy.
