I'm surprised, no comments about Notre Dame losing again!!!!. Thats was a great game. The best part was the announcers on Notre Dame's home network continuously hammering the fact that Chad Hall (AF rb #21) was a choir boy in high school and he was destroying all the 5-star recruits of Notre Dame. they kept saying you cant measure heart. Charlie, any questions???
peace.

That is because ND is not relevant and has not been for sometime in college football.

I'm pretty certain ND's AD is regretting the 10 year extetion that they gave to Charlie Weis right about now....

I would LOVE to see a Kansas - Hawaii BCS championship game, just to see how quickly the BCS system would disappear after the abominable ratings that such a game would receive.

Does the fact that the PAC 10 does not have a champoinship game hurt Oregon in seeding? The SEC and Big 12 do, and will get one more "quality" game - i.e. if Kansas wins out, can they overtake Oregon becaue of the Big 12 championship game gives them an extra game? ANd what about Mizzou - if they win the Big 12 championship game with one loss? Anyone have any ideas?

Here's the take from Bud Withers, columnist of The Seattle Times, on the weird and wacky from the OSU-UW game:

http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/b ... ers12.html

As Bud notes, it was a good thing that both Coach Riley and Coach Willingham decided to take control of their own players in the second half, because it was apparent to all that the refs had lost all control and didn't seem interested in trying to re-gain it. A very poorly officiated game, IMHO, and I'll be surprised if the "White Hat" doesn't get sanctioned by the Pac-10 for an unacceptably poor performance by his crew in this one. Had the Huskies managed to win after the atrocious fumble call went against Oregon State, I'd guess some guys might be hanging up their zebra shirts permanently.

If you believe strength of schedule matters (which a lot of people here, don't)...then yes...it really hurts them. Esp if they've stopped playing games and there are still other teams out there playing ranked teams.

I think if Kansas beats Missouri then Oklahoma...then they've proved they deserve a shot at the national championship. Kansas' problem is that the Big 12 North was insanely weak this year. They've only played one ranked team (if you wanna count Kansas State being ranked 24 as "quality"), but they will play #6 Missouri...and the winner of that will play Oklahoma.

If Oklahoma wins...it's LSU/Oregon for the national title. If Kansas wins...it could be LSU/Kansas for the title. I'd personally rather see LSU/Oregon because there'd be a lot of offense, and I cannot stand looking at Kansas' GIGANTIC coach.
