Bet those folks that waited in line for hours to shell out $600 for an iPhone are kicking themselves right now...

As for the iPhone, Jobs discontinued one of the two models that first went on sale in late June. The remaining version, with 8 gigabytes of storage, will now sell for $399, or $200 less than before.

They won't be kicking themselves because Apple is not including a Sense of Smug with this version of the iPhone.

while i didn't go wait in line for my iphone, (i bought it a couple days after the initial launch) i am a bit miffed at the price drop. it's not a huge deal though. i can see a price drop, but $200? nevertheless, i still love the phone.
