Beck's debut with LA on Saturday evening?

What do you think he will do on Saturday night? His first game is fast becoming "must see TV."

I am guessing 0 goals, 0 assists and one free kick that bends and misses. Everyone will be all disappointed he didn't score 10 goals and will start talking about how much soccer sucks then everyone will move on once Pacman Jones is arrested yet again.

he may not play and definitely wont start. This isnt' even a league game, its a warmup match for Chelsea in their pre-season. So its only an exhibition. Why the coach would risk it is beyond me? but I can see why the GM (especially Alexi Lalas and his crazy butt) and the owner and the league would want him to play.

he may get 20 minutes with an agreement that Chelsea players wont play defense too hard against him. he'll get a free kick and a corner kick and people will be awed by the bend of the ball, but no goals.

Thats what I'm afraid of......alot of non-soccer fans going to watch expecting Beckham to score 5 goals a game and dazzle with a bunch of sick ball tricks. This is not his game. He is a spectacular free kick taker and delivers great passes from a long distance, whether to assist on a goal or just clear the ball and start a breakaway for someone else.
