My whole point is that most the people who babble "he can't coach" have no clue--they just like to hate him...

I'm just saying stop repeating things you can't substantiate just because it's easy. Give the guy a chance.

I don't hate him. I have no dog in this fight. My babbling refers to what he has done so far...nothing. If he is running the Big 10 in 2008, more power to him. I wouldn't bet on it though.

I'm going to preface this post by apologizing to everyone for "beating a dead horse". I know I am. It's just that I'm Illini through and through, and I am so sick of the constant beating my university takes that I am hoping that Coach Zook will be vindicated, and the institutions that have prosecuted an agenda over so many years against the U of I will be eviscerated. Sorry.

I like how former Michigan State coach John L. Smith is quoted as saying "where there's smoke, there's probably fire." That's what known as being jealous. I wonder if Zook would have been able to take all the players he recruited to the National Championship at Florida. Guess he should at least get some of the credit for their tittle. It'll be interesting to see how things play out at Illinois. With his luck he'll be fired in a couple years and some other coach will take all his players to the Rose Bowl...
