Bush: Iraqis must step up, U.S. role 'not open-ended'

Adam Gamradt wrote:"Let me reassure you and everybody else: We're not planning on invading Iran," White House spokesman Tony Snow said at a briefing.

Whoever thinks we could even pull off an invasion of Iran is smoking crack.

Even though they might lose in a stand-up battle, they're even more suited than Iraq for waging a drawn-out insurgency. They have double the population of Iraq, a more rugged terrain, a military that hasn't been depleted by years of sanctions, a longer history of nationalism, and lot more oil money.

There are also a lot of countries, namely China, who would probably provide them with support and intelligence to protect their energy supplies.

Read up on the Iran-Iraq war sometime.

Just thought of something... I'm sure most of y'all know that this conflict really dates all the way back to the time Abraham had Ishmael (through Hagar), Isaac (through Sarah), and Ketruah (both had 6 children). Needless to say, this is really the world's longest family feud between the Arabs and the Jews.

Now if we could just get everyone in the middle east and Isreal to read the story of the Hatfields and the McCoys.
