Let's say I had a day to kill in San Francisco, what would be some "must-see" places to check out?
I might be headed that way and will have a day to kill.

Alcatraz tour. Cable car ride. One thing that I enjoyed on a vist was the Exploratorium. If you're into hands-on science museums with lots of really cool things to play with I would recommend it! I'm into that kind of geeky stuff, but they have some of the neatest I've seen. I think you can go on The Google and check it out.

The alcatraz tour is pretty good. The birdman was there when i was visiting. The golden gate is a no brainer but just drive acrossed it. Also Fisherman's wharf is good too, except when it smells like the seal lions.

Palace of Fine Arts
The home of Philo Farnsworth
Ghirardelli Square
Alcatraz
Union Square
Chinatown
Coit Tower
If you have a car, I suggest a drive across the Golden Gate Bridge. Take the first exit on the north side and head to the Marin Headlands. One of my favourite spots in the world. Then keep going up the 101 to Muir Woods.

Whatever you do, do not let Nancy Pelosi corrupt you with her SF values. The consequences could be severe.

As long as the buffet is rated an A and not a B......
