Tour De France

Postby UofMLaxGoalie11 on Mon Jul 03, 2006 12:58 am

July is Tour De France time. Im wondering who is going to be watching it this year. Firstly, because Lance is no longer in it. Secondly, because the World Cup for both soccer and lacrosse will be going on. Personally, I watched a lot of the Tour last year, partially cause I didnt have a job, but I found it very interesting and will probably leave my tv on OLN for most the month. Hopefully Discovery Channel can continue to dominate the race for the yellow jersey. I know I would love to see George Hincapie take it this year. He has been helping Lance for years and I think it would be great for him to get some time in the spotlight. Especially since he emerged late in the last Tour with a stage win. Also, there were several big names removed from the race due to cracking down on doping apparently. Infact there are no people who have won the yellow jersey in the Tour this year, so there is guaranteed to be a new winner this year. Should be good.
