Anyone see the story on ESPN about the kid with autism?

I caught the tail end on Sportscenter but this kid who has autism is the basketball manager of his high school basketball team and they let him play which is a cool thing in its own. But I guess he came in one game and hit a 3-pointer so they let him play the next game and the kid went off. Made like 6 3-pointers in the final five minutes of the game leading to the students storming the court and carrying him off. I haven't had a time to see these videos or stories but here are some links to some stuff on it:

In all seriousness, individuals with Autism are not all like "Rainman." My folks were a Big Brother and Big Sister for some Austistic kids when I was growing up. We used to take them to GU basketball games all the time (that was during the good old days when one could just walk in off the street and go to a GU game--without a ticket!). I think what that kid did was money. I think what's even greater is the coach allowing him to play and the fan support of him.

i saw it and thought it was awesome. I work for the Special Olympics and have some special interest stories like that. usually a football coach will allow a player/manager to run one play and the other team will let him run all the way for a touchdown, which doesnt count and isnt a timed play. but this was amazing to see this kid shoot and score 6 out of 7 3=pointers during a game. i couldnt believe it.

Wow, imagine the opposing locker room. I wonder what the heck they were saying? Hopefully not embarrassed, and happy for the kid, and the opposing team.

This was the most amazing thing I have seen in a long time. The way everyone cheered for him and supported him brought a tear to my eye.
