If i remember correctly, a website would set up a fax number for you and incoming faxes would be fowarded to email. outgoing would be uploaded and faxed out. Unfortunately, I don't remember the url for that website.

There are several....I use efax for incoming, and it works great. I haven't used the outgoing service yet.

We use ImagePort at my work. You can fax something to the assigned number they give you and it comes up as an attachment on your e-mail.
