Guess they are going after Reggie Bush at RB (over hometown Vince Young or Matt Leinhart)?

Not so fast. Come to the future with me for am oment, say the fall of 2007. The stadium announcer at Network Associates Stadium leans forward into his microphone an utters, "And now at quarterback for the Raiders, out of Fresno State, David Carr!"

Why would anyone NOT go for Bush? I'd put some faith in Carr to step up now that he has someone dependable in the backfield... And if it doesn't go well, they can can him in the next year or so... What'd he resign for? I can't recall from the article.

Unless I'm wrong, the Texans need to have better offensive linemen to give Carr more breathing room. I still remember that the New England Patriots was so awful in the OL department before they went on winning 3 Super Bowls. I kept telling my friends at that time the Patriots needed better offensive linemen to protect the quarterback as well as allow the running backs to move around, too.

It will be interesting to see how the Texans front office is thinking at this time as to how they are going to handle its first pick.
