Superbowl commercials

Postby tamu33 on Mon Feb 07, 2005 2:00 am

Lets hear everyone's favorite 2005 superbowl commercial

I personally thought this year's tops were:

1. Ameriquest= cat killer
2. Cedric the Entertainer's designated driver
3. bud's giving up game tickets

Also, has anyone checked out this ad on bud's site:

not seen on tv

I agree with the "Cat Killer" commercial...that one was wonderul. I liked the Diet Pepsi ad with P. Diddy because it's true. People are stupid enough to do that if they thought it was the new "in" thing to drive.

Overall, I thought the SB commercials were lame this year. The Cat Killer was pretty funny though as well as the Bud Light/Plane Pilot one.

Ahhh, I thought the Fed-EX commercial with the talking bear and Burt Reynolds was okay. No love for smokie and the bandit?
Overall, the best TV moment was the Simpsons that followed the SB.

Maybe its my bias support for the home state but what was up with the lack of Miller commercials. Did they just get out bid for air time? The commercials seemed to be dominated by Bud and Pepsi.

Can't speak for Miller Brewing Company, but Coca-Cola rarely buys SB air time. They let Pepsi buy up all the expensive time.

Currently, Burt Reynolds, James Woods, and Cuba Gooding Jr. are filming a movie here in Spokane. Oddly enough, some of the filming is taking place at one of my player's uncle's house. Last Friday, it happened to be Burt Reynolds' birthday. After receiving a little joshing about his latest Super Bowl commercial, his response was something to the effect of: "I hate that damn commercial!! That's all everyone talks about anymore with me is that f'ing commercial!! I can't believe it." True story.
