I will start off saying that my favorite comey duo of all the time is Laurel & Hardy.
Just two trivial questions:
1) What was Stan Laurel's actual birth name?
2) In what town or city in Georgia was Oliver "Babe" Hardy born?
No googling. No IMDB.com

Great questions but I amsure there are only about five of us on this forum that know who you are asking about.
I will wait one more day before giving the final answers to the two questions. However, I am interested in seeing what your favorite comedy duo is.

There are so many great duo's, but this is not a hard choice for me! I have to go with the Blues Brothers with Bulushi and Akkrod(I think that's how their names are spelled). And you can't forget Cheech and Chong, that wrestling match with the invisible man is the best.

Many to choose from but Abbott and Costello's "Who's on First" will always be one of my favorites.
Don't forget Burns and Allen!! "Say goodnight Gracie!"

Answers to my two questions:
1) Stan Laurel was born as Arthur Stanley Jefferson; he was a Scottish lad. It was a good thing that Stan changed his last name.
2) Oliver Hardy was born in Harlem, Georgia. In fact, he was born as Norvell Hardy. When his father died when Ollie was young, he later added Oliver to honor his father's name. Almost three years ago, it was too late for my family and I to have a quick tour of the Laurel and Hardy Museum in Harlem, GA. It is quite a very small one.
Wow. Yeah, what you have brought up are quite good duos.
Abbott and Costello's "Who on First?" is quite a classic!
