They were playing Illinois...
I believe Reggie Bush won the Heisman a couple weeks ago in South Bend. Since the Heisman voting is done before the bowl games, I think it will be very hard for anyone to catch Reggie (i.e. Texas beating SC in the BCS championship would not have any impact on the voting).
Maroney - only real football fans have heard of him.
Quinn - played well, but lost the most high profile game of the season. Obvious front runner for next year.
Young - the one guy that can catch Bush, if UT runs the table and SC gets beat during the regular season...he MIGHT win it.
Guy who should be getting pub? The QB from Northwestern, whose name I will not attempt to spell.
How can you brush off Robinson like he's a nobody and then praise the Northwestern QB who Robinson beat in dramatic fashion??
I'm not brushing off Robinson...you asked why he's not getting any pub for his 6TD performance and it's because it was against a horrible Illinois team.
I would put Robinson and unspellable Northwestern QB in the same boat. Two of the best QB's in the Big 10 along with Tate and Stanton. But none of them are going to get any run for the Heisman.
