Wacky 2005 weather

Postby Brent Burns on Wed Oct 26, 2005 2:30 pm

Gulf Coast states were battered by several hurricanes. (Katrina, Rita and Wilma)

Northeast (a lot of rain/flood and now being pounded by a nor'easter in New England due to Hurricane Wilma). To add injury to insult, the fall foliage may have come to an end in New England due to a lot of snow unless any guys from that area can chime in to say something differently. I also wonder if that will affect that dam in Taunton, Massachusetts.

I am sure lil lady lax fan, Dan Wishengrad, et al will have something to say about the weather in the West.

How about Midwest??

BTW, I have read that the sun is becoming hotter. Hmmm....

Wilma may not have slammed into the East Coast, but it sure helped that Nor'Easter of the New England Coast. It is REALLY unusual to get snow this early in the season.

As for out West, it's been unusually damp out here this month in Southern California. Had a great thunderstorm roll through SoCal mid month, which is highly unusual. In many ways it seems as if the weather can't make up its mind whether it's summer or Fall!! Last winter was WET, as many teams out here can attest. Quite a few games had to be postponed because the fields were on a par with some of the swamps you find in Michigan.

The weather has been poor here in Connecticut. We have had non-stop rain for about 3 weeks...

Here is our flooded hockey rink...

Ok, so you gotta wear floaties when you practice.... take it from a former swimmer, the workout on your legs will be awesome!!

Did you get hit by the snow as well? Hope things dry out for you soon!

Methinks Danny may be thinking of "uninformed" from what I was reading his question.

It's indoor. The rink is actually the airplane hanger in the back of the picture, not the pond.
