400 lb Eric Gregg giving Florida pitcher Livan Hernandez strikes 4 feet off the plate in Game 5 of the 1997 NLCS (Marlins vs. Braves). It was insane how bad his strike zone was that day. He didn't work in MLB too much longer after that game and now serves as a bartender in one of Philadelphia's sports stadiums, IIRC.

He was one of the umpires that retired in mass a few years ago. He was never rehired. The only thing I ever ask from an umpire is consistency. I always had a big strike zone. I have seen guys get balls to break a ton.

Unfortunately in every sport the officials are human. In lacrosse we see our fair share of Bad calls. Because an official has to make a call in a split second, there is always a chance for Human error. We as players made mistakes, we can't expect officials to be perfect.
