Israel Begins Withdrawal From Gaza Strip

This is a pretty big story in the news, and I was just wondering if anyone has any opinions about the issue.

Personally while I think it could be a good step toward furthering peace in the region, I also understand the plight of the Israelis being forced to leave the region and their homes, some of which people have lived in for almost 20 years.

It is an amazing issue. I couldn't begin to imagine moving from your home after 20 or 30 years. Hopefully, it will be the beginning of a true, lasting peace era to that troubled part of the world. However, I fear that some of the so-called Palestinians won't be happy until Israel is pushed out of Jerusalem and into the sea.
