I highly reccomend this band, Jack's Mannequin. It's the leader singer of Something Corporate. Geffen Records (which sucks) wouldn't let him do what he wanted to with SoCo so he took some time off from them and started this side project, Jack's Mannequin.
I just got the album a little while ago (comes out Aug. 23) and I highly suggest for you guys to give it a listen. Awesome stuff. "Mixed Tape" is the first single and my personal fav on the album. Below is a link to a mtv.com page where you can listen and watch the video for the song which I am diggin' the video.

Other random bands I have been listening to lately:
Panic! at the Disco (think Fall Out Boy but with a keyboard)
June (good band on Victory Records)
Bayside (another good band on Victory Records)
Emery (emo + screaming = screamo)

Andrew McMahon (lead singer of both Something Corporate and Jack's Mannequin) has never recorded anything I haven't liked. "Mix Tape" is a pretty wonderful song. Also agreeing with what Matt wrote, I love Bayside. Some of their lyrics are kind of dark, especially on the song "How To Fix Everything", but regardless of subject matter, their songs (in my opinion) rock.
I recommend Sufjan Stevens. His new album is called "Come on! Feel the Illinoise!". The single off of it has the same title as the album, and I think it's pretty good.
