i just got back from working at the dickey betts concert. it was a pretty good time. rusty wallace was there earlier in the day signing autographs and making a stop on his "final call" tour. some real interesting people came out for that. i have to say i laughed when i saw someone with a rear fender from one of his cars and another with a full sized hood.

I've had this car for 5+ years now.

If you want to contribute to this bloggers' summer gasoline fund, I'm open to that!

I just read some report that Atlanta was second to Birmingham for worst gas prices compared to people's income and amount of driving done.

Hey I wanted to thank you guys for clueing me in to fall out boy. "Take The to Your Grave" is definitely going to be one of my next purchases.
Cliff, I checked out your brother's band. I wish I'd known about their show in Richmond last week. My friend Dave would've enjoyed hearing them. I downloaded a few of their mp3s and plan on picking up one of their CDs as well.
Friday's my rowdy music day--I'm rocking out to Warren Zevon and Oingo Boingo while prepping my samples. I love Fridays!!

Pearl Jam "vs." (with the sheep on it) is a great album, one of the defining albums of the early 90s. Their later stuff, however, did suck. My other favorites from this "genre."
Weezer - Blue Album
Smashing Pumpkins - Siamese Dream
Nirvana - Nevermind/In Utero
Keep grunge alive!! All five of the above albums are essential listening, in my opinion. Good from start to finish. Another favorite that makes its way into the CD player from time to time is the Alice in Chains album with the three-legged dog on the cover (can't think of the title for the life of me). More "sludge" rock than grunge, but if you love the thick buzz guitar, you probably like that album.

That Alice in Chains album is just called "Alice in Chains". But if I'm picking just one album of theirs, I have to go with "Dirt".
