Just to let everyone know we took the suggestions form the message board. Today for the warmup music we played Du Haste, Gummie Bears Song, jessies girl and some Rage. The Gummie Bears song was definitley a hit with the fans.

... not to mention that we had possibly the best halftime show in the history of lacrosse halftime shows. Thomas Peterson doing gymnastics and break dancing to the Gummie Bear's theme song? You cannot top that...

We warmed up to the Transformers theme song a couple games ago, I think our close D guys put that on there.

For those who were wondering what the GREATEST HALFTIME SHOW EVER FEATURING THE GUMMIE BEARS THEME SONG would look like, i have provided a pic.

Image

Now just sing the lyrics-
Dashing and daring, courageous and caring
Faithful and friendly with stories to share
All through the forest they sing out in chorus
Marching along as their song fills the air

CHORUS:
Gummie Bears, bouncing here and there and everywhere
High adventures, that's beyond compare.
They are the Gummie Bears

Magic and mystery are part of their history
Along with the secret of Gummie Berry Juice
The legend is growing they take part in knowing
They fight for what's right in whatever they do

REPEAT CHORUS AGAIN AND AGAIN:

Gummie Bears, thats hot, but I would have to go with the Lime In The Coconut song. It rocks hard.

Warning - Old Guy story coming....

HS - Long Island Championship at Hofstra Stadium. 1983

Farmingdale (booo Hisss)

V.

Ward Melville (yea)

Recall that at that point, Apocalypse Now was a relatively new movie. There is a scene in it where Air Cav is attacking, and Robert Duval is playing Wagner's Ride of the Valkyries while things are exploding. Pretty crazy scene.

Well, my Dad talked his way into the press box, and got Ride of the Valkyries (just the very serious into) played as we entered the stadium.

Of course, we fell behind 4-0 upon the start of the game, but finally came back to win.

Moral of the story - No more classical music played, no matter how forboding
