The anniversary of the day the Liberation of Europe began by thousands of US forces.

I didn't know they were supposed to. You have a real obsession with Google and not having their engineers decorate a search engine page with depictions of war-related "holidays." Why not complain about Yahoo! or other search engines?

Google already celebrate the Chinese New Year and the Persian New Year annually... Guess they don't appreciate the freedoms the enjoy here at home the US to make their billions & billions.
At least they are consistent about one thing - their anti-US feelings.

Google is about as fair and as unbiased as a college professor or administrator (NOT).

Does Google have a observerence of the Battle of Sardowa? Napolean's defeat at Waterloo? Pearl Harbor Day? What about Anzac Day? Or what about Toussaint L'Ouverture victory in Haiti? The Sepoy Mutiny? Or May Day? Simon Bolivar's accomplishments in South America? The Battleship Potemkin uprising? THe Mutiny on the Bounty? Cook's discovery of Hawai'i? No? Ok then they have to celebrate the discovery of the Polio vaccine? The date of Christian Bernard's first successful heart transplant? Charles Drew's discovery of blood plasma? Edison and the light bulb?
While I am all for the celebration of 6 June 1944 and all that it means to not only our country but also to the world this faux outrage must stop. This is up there with the Malkin crusade against Dunkin Donuts two weeks ago. I hope that everyone enjoys their Freedom fries and Liberty pups at their cookouts this weekend along with their Freedom toast for breakfast.
Two of my uncle commanded troops that day. I remember attending the D-Day Remembrance activities at Arlington with them as a kid. Each always told me that they were not heroes. That they were doing their job. That the real heroes are the one's who died that day and in the days following the invasion.

Knoxvegas. Google has over 100 + front pages that represent a myriad of dates, based on your IP address and language preference set in your browser. They honor boat loads of days that have little to no significance.
You only see the english/US routed pages. Remember, there is a whole world out there and Google is catering to them.

In case you couldn't figure it out, he was being sarcastic in his initial post...guess it went over your head. This is not the first time he has brought this topic up. I would use Yahoo! instead if using Google offends you so much.
