UCSB goes up 1-0. My thoughts were that the team to strike first would win. I would hate to see BYU lose but the Gauchos are playing inspired this week. I think it would be great to see a UCSB vs. CSU final tomorrow in another WCLL vs. RMLC showdown.

UCSB comes out in a zone D.

BYU methodically working it around on offense, and a Gaucho fan asks for a stall warning. Oh the juicy irony.

Is BYU attacking the cage or just working it around?

UCSB is in a zone so BYU is not really attacking. They are working it around trying to find the openings in the zone, but taking their time.

BYU ride giving SB fits on their clear attempts. SB's zone is not allowing very many good looks in settled situations.

From what I saw earlier in the season, BYU has a tremendous ride, perhaps the best in the league. Looks like this is shaping up into a battle of wills.

CSU's ride last night was absolutely brutal. Even more aggressive and successful than BYU's today, but maybe because they smelled blood in the water after the first few successful rides.
