Northeastern, BC, and UMD all breaking through has to be seen as a positive. Add that to some very exciting games and I'd say that this year's tournament has been very positive so far.

I agree. Granted these teams didn't go as far as they would have liked. I don't think you can chaulk it up to "getting lucky" either. These teams gave all their opponents more than they expected game in and game out.

My favorite part of the tournaments has always been the competition. As director, I unfortunately can't watch as many games as I used to when I was staff, but I did get to see Northeastern play UCSB. Best, most exciting game of the tournament. And the crowds gathered were all really into the game. The Oregon guys yelling "GOAL!!!!!" when the refs were discussing one of NU's comeback points, fantastic!. Just a thrilling game all around from two top programs.

It's a mother that has a unique ability to sound just like a siren...a REALLY LOUD siren. At least I assume that's who Danny is referring to.

The tip jar has seen one contribution all week long.

Looks like the media staff won't be getting any free drinks or dinner this weekend.... :(

Cmon people, as a bartender, I live off tips. I know what its like. Be sure to help out the people who are taking time off work to come down and do this for nothing.

the local staff people here, i am guessing part of the local uslacrosse chapter, have been awesome. very helpful and always had water, tape, horns, balls, and anything extra that was needed ready to go. I especially like Kelly and Cricket.

I just did the same. I am really appreciating the coverage, both on the website and especially the radio broadcasts. C'mon people, buy these guys a couple of drinks and show your appreciation. Let's not all be takers.

great volunteers!

During the two days I was present, the whole thing felt like a well oiled machine. The scoreboard did not work the first half on one game, but the official scorekeepers were generous to help us with what we needed for our own books. The volunteers seemed to be everywhere! I thought the choice and mix of pre-game music was also fun...someone has good taste!

It was very hot on Tuesday and when folks realized that the small coolers with water bottles in them were not going to cut it...they improvised with ice in full sized trashcans to keep cases of water ready for the players. (are all those water bottles somehow getting recycled???)

Bathrooms seemed much closer to the entire playing area than last year in which the far fields FELT miles away from a restroom.

Thanks to all the folks who made this happen. Your hard work both at the tournament and on the website have been amazing! Hit the tip jar..not just for the great work during the tournament, but also for the wonderful work done by many loyal volunteers all year long.

The commercial on the jumbotron gave me goosebumps.

Well done.
