This is in an effort to head off any rumors that may circulate. Each of the 11 other B Division teams were sent an email this evening asking for this information by our Director of Recreation. Our administration is making us find out what other teams are doing to fund their trips to Plano. Since we did not budget for nationals in our '05-'06 budget request, we are having to ask the school for money. The school is just looking for justification of this unpredicted expenditure.

Augustana College will be competing in Plano. We just need to help out administration see that this tournament is a benefit to not only the team but to the college as well. Please respond to the email. You could also PM me but the email is what is really needed.

If you do not have serious information to share, do not repsond to this post. Thank you in advance.

Cheers,
Ethan

around mid march to early april our(eckerd's) captains sat down with ether the president of the college or the director of student activities and discussed the situation and the school stated that if we made it to texas they would pay for the plane tickets. I realize many schools would not be so accomadating and we are very fortunate to have an excellent and supportive administration. if you are looking for good reasons to tell the school, remind them that publicity like this could bring in a four or five or more kids to the college that are boarderline with their decisions. I personally knew before hand that eckerd had a winning program and that was the final decision maker for me.
