I kinda like this one:

1 Colorado State vs. 16 Texas

2 Sonoma vs. 15 Northeastern

3 Michigan vs. 14 Duluth

4 Colorado vs. 13 Oakland

5 FSU vs. 12 UCSB

6 BYU vs. 11 Lindenwood

7 Arizona vs. 10 Utah

8 UCSD vs. 9 Oregon

terrible, or not terrible??

Here is a guess. This may be totally wrong after the poll comes out today.

1. Colorado State vs. 16. Texas
2. Sonoma State vs. 15. Northeastern
3. Michigan vs. 14. Oakland
4. Florida State vs. 13. Cal Poly
5. Oregon vs. 12. Minnesota-Duluth
6. Colorado vs. 11. UCSD
7. BYU vs. 10. Arizona
8. Lindenwood vs. 9. Santa Barbara

Cal poly could get bumped out by Utah. but the RMLC has no automatic qualifier. so that would be 4 at large teams from that league.

Are teams from the same conference allowed to play each other in the first round?

pretty sure they are if that's the way the chips fall. if i'm not mistaken, it's happened before a few times. with that last bracket though, most of those games are re-mathes from the regular season, and i'm not sure if the championship commitee will seed so there are so many re-mathes. could be, and i probably am, completely wrong though

Absolutely. otherwise it would be way to difficult to seed. Half of the teams will come from two conferences. the WCLL and the RMLC.

you are correct.

no championship committee, seeding directly based on final regular season poll.

No upsets in Round 1?

Seeds:

#1 CSU vs. #16 Texas
#2 Sonoma vs. #15 Northeastern
#3 Michigan vs. #14 Minn-Duluth
#4 Colorado vs. #13 Oakland
#5 BYU vs. #12 Lindenwood
#6 FSU vs. #11 Utah
#7 Arizona vs. #10 Oregon
#8 UCSD vs. #9 UCSB

As far as who wins in the first round I don't forsee any upsets of the top 4 seeds, as for the rest of the match-ups... if the regular season taught us anything it's that anything can happen on any given day.

In all the above predictions except one, LU is set to play BYU. Not that its a bad thing just somthing I noticed.
