I am not sure who scheduled the same tournament as the Byron Nelson in Dallas, but that was a bad idea. That weekend is jinxed from the start. Even in the worst drought it always seems to storm that weekend. I can remember planning to go to the golf tournament which would get postponed or having my athletic games rained out. It is just bad news.

My prediction:
At least one good tornado.
Flooding.
Lots of lightning.

On the bright side the days before the tourney should be beautiful, and Sunday is always a great day.

I don't know, it is Texas so anything could happen.

My prediction:
Countless posts on the possibility of nasty weather.
Numerous comments on how horrible Texas heat is.
A few comments on impending doom via a Super Tornado.
Zero posts on how noone on this forum can do anything but hope for the best.

My dad pulled me from school every Thursday from about 2nd grade until I graduated that weekend and we always went to the Byron Nelson for some nice father-son bonding time. With that said, I think I spent half of the time under some bridge no where near the club house....

Let's not forget that it will be 60-70 and sunny in MN with a nice gentle breeze. And it's been raining for almost 72 hours straight so you know the grass is going to be stellar in a week.

With Temperatures in the high 80's and low 90's, Advantage, FSU and Arizona.
Also having an early game on Tuesday is an advantage for the following day.

I remember crowd complaints regarding a tent over the scorer's table that was in spectator sightlines when we were in st louis.

Playing in 100 degree heat is not bad. I would much rather be in the ehat than in a cold rain. Shade does not really help with the Texas heat. It is just hot. You deal with it. Anything that happens at the game with regards to the heat is a result of poor preparation for the game. Drinking lots of fluids throughout the day helps a ton. It is all what you do during your time before and after your game that determines your health during the game. Some high schools have purchased "Cool Zone" air coolers, but those don't help that much. One thing that I have done in the past to cool down quickly is getting my hands cold by using a bucket of ice water and putting cold towels from the ice water on my neck.

Again the weather problem will be the spring storms. It will not be the heat.

I have a simple solution for everyone who has complaints about the weather. Last year it was the cold and rain, this year it may be the heat and humidity, previous to that in St. Louis it was a little bit of everything (rain, heat, humidity, etc...). Well to solve that it's rather easy...Southern California! The Home Depot center is a good facility and I'm not sure if San Diego has the facilities but I'm sure they are there. To me this is the most ideal site as far as weather is concerned. Even when it is warm it isn't overly humid. SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA people...there's the answer!
