Toughest 2006 schedule

The 2013 tournament returns to Greenville, SC this May.

Toughest 2006 schedule

Postby Bluevelvet on Tue Dec 06, 2005 10:06 pm

My vote for the toughest 2006 schedule goes to UCSB. Ten of their 14 games are:
BYU
CSU
Michigan
Colorado
@Sonoma
@Arizona
@ASU
UCSD @ 1st four in SD
Cal Poly
Chapman

That's a grind...BYU hasn't officially released the schedule, but to the best of my knowledge it will include:
@ CSU
@CU
@Utah
@UCSB
Sonoma
Michigan (in San Diego)
Oregon
@Florida St
Ga Tech (in Fla)
Colorado College (D-III)

The CC game will be played at the Border War in Grand Junction, CO...a tournament that pits CO high school teams against UT high school teams

BYU is also playing Whittier when they visit SoCal in February.

That might make for a nice spring trip if we're buried in a foot of snow in Denver...

Wow! I thought UCSB was tough but BYU might be tougher. I wonder who else has grinds like those two.

Michigan's stacking their deck pretty heavily. Here's some of the tougher teams they are playing this year:

Scrimmages against Wittenberg and Dayton to start off the season
BYU
UCSD
Whittier
UCSB
Arizona
Lindenwood
Minnesota-Duluth
Oakland

Colorado State also has some hard hitters:

UCSB
Whittier
Colorado College
Sonoma State
Notre Dame de Namur (D II)
Arizona State
Oakland
Utah
BYU
Colorado

Both sound pretty tough!

Come on, now, Chapman.
1. Don't post your team's entire schedule, just the tough games.
2. Don't post a scrimmage against Whittier (it's not in the WCLL schedule).
3. The WCLL schedule does not list the Florida games on it's schedule. Are these scrimmages?
4. Chapman has Utah, FSU MSU and Texas Tech as their only OOC ranked teams (one in the top 10- FSU).
5. Chapman has Cal Poly, UCSB, Arizona schools @home and UCSD in the WCLL.
6. This is an OK schedule but not one of the toughest in the MDIA.
7. Where is Chapman vs. Sonoma, CSU, BYU, Michigan, Colorado, Oregon?
8. We are talking about the toughest schedules in the country, not this.

Florida State's schedule isint the toughest, but is pretty good. Games include:

DII- Mars Hill, CW Post, Bryant
Michigan State, Chapman and Va Tech
and of course a rematch vs BYU.

If the D2 teams play their squads as they did last year, it will be a good schedule for the Noles

Where is Bryant? I've heard of Mars Hill and Post, but Bryant is a new one to me...

Danny is right - Bryant is in RI. Solid D2 team, only been around for a few years at the varsity level. We (New Hampshire) used to play them for a year or two a while back, not sure if they were actually part of the PCLL or a non-league game back then.
