Division B Championship Participation

I would like to hear from some of the frontrunners in each league about their desire to attend the national tournament in Blaine. Of course, the UMLL Champions will be there because of short travel distance, but what about other conferences? Have teams budgeted for the cost that may arise from a bid to the Division B National Tournament?

CCLA- Calvin, IUP
PNCLL- Montana, Pac Lu
RMLC- Montana State, UVSC
WCLL- San Diego, Claremont
SELC- Davidson
LSA- Southwestern, UTA, Trinity
GRLC- Harding, Creighton, WIU

Conference heads may also check in on this topic as they may have already started discussions with their teams.

He might also be looking for a date from one of your managers/stat girls. Let Dan know that too when you email him. :o

I believe that I am getting married rather soon. So if anyone is desperate and looking for a date, it is Pinball... not Dan Genck...

if we win our division we will be in blaine. it is a top honor to be awarded to go and play for a national championship. when we dropped to the B division this year we had a goal to go to blaine so we began fundraising in the fall. we have partial funds at this point. however if we win our divisioin there will be nothing stopping us from getting there.

The school has pitched in some help and The University of Montana Lacrosse team will be able to make the trip to Blaine, the question is bus or fly?

It would be a rather long bus ride... and not too scenic through the Dakotas.

I would strongly doubt any teams won't make the trip... Everyone seems excited about it, and has known about it for quite a while. My biggest question is will it be successful enough to expand next year?

Yes!

Kyle you have no idea. The eight teams -- no matter how they do on the field -- are going to be just blown away by the MDIA tourney experience. The venue in St. Louis was terrific, and if they're moving to a place that is supposed to be better then I'm sure that it will be, and the experience will be shared by alot of new teams who will return to tell the tale to the rest of their leagues. It's going to be wildly successful, and will soon be a mirror of the A Division tourney. Having the two men's and the women's divisions all playing together means there could be over thirty teams in the stands watching the mens and womens finals. Wow.

Calvin avenged our regular season loss to Indiana U of PA with a 13-10 win in the CCLA championship game.

I expect the guys to do everything they need to in order to represent the CCLA in Blaine.

Count us in.
