If the tourney started tomorrow and the highest rated team from each conference won the AQ, here's how the bracketing would shape up:

1. Colorado State (at-large)
16. Texas Tech (LSA AQ)

8. Oakland (at-large)
9. Boston College (PCLL AQ)

4. UCSB (at-large)
13. Virginia Tech (at-large)

5. Michigan (CCLA AQ)
12. Florida State (SELC AQ)

2. Sonoma (WCLL AQ)
15. Minnesota-Duluth (UMLL AQ)

7. Arizona (at-large)
10. Oregon (PNCLL AQ)

3. BYU (at-large)
14. Lindenwood (GRLC AQ)

6. Colorado (at-large)
11. UC San Diego (at-large)

The teams in the Top 16 that would be left out are #14 Utah & #16 Georgia Tech. RMLC - 3 teams, WCLL - 4 teams, SELC - 2 teams, CCLA - 2 teams, all other conferences with 1.

I would really like to see Utah make the big dance. They have been on the up and up for awhile now... it would be a nice reward for their seniors.

Aside from that, I think your picks are dead on...

The best game would be the Oakland v. BC 8 9 game no question. Also I wouldn't be surprised to see an Oregon or FSU upset in the first round.

CSU/Michigan in the semis might be the best game of the year.

there would be a lot of teams BC/Oregon/UCSB to get through to get to CSU Michigan

The proverbial bubble teams consist of Virginia Tech, Utah, Georgia Tech and the Chico/Chapman/Poly group from the WCLL. Utah will have to make sure to take care of business in the next four games and really show something against BYU and the #1 RMLC seed to have a chance. It will be hard to move up very much there. Va Tech, FSU and Georgia Tech are likely battling for one spot as well and Chico, Chapman and Poly's only hopes are an upset in the WCLL tourney. Should be interesting coming down the stretch, and that is not factoring in any losses to teams in the top group that may drop them out . . . For all intents and purposes, you must be in the top 13 to have a chance for the at-large bids.

all this means is that Michigan still doesnt make it out of the quarters.

If UCSB brings their "Provo" game, Michigan will look good until CSU beats them.

How about round 2 matchups...This is just for fun, correct?

CSU vs OREGON
SONOMA vs OAKLAND
BYU vs COLORADO
UCSB vs MICHIGAN

I don't think those picks are too off base...

Actually they are quite off base. Oregon cannot meet CSU in the 2nd round in this scenario. Same thing for Oakland & Sonoma.

The correct games for round to would be

CSU v. BC
UCSB v. Michigan
Sonoma v. Arizona/Oregon
BYU v. CU

The Arizona Oregon game is to close to call, same with the Oakland BC game for that matter, but UCSB Michigan would be one hell of a second round game.

Haha...I stand corrected. I thought the second round still had the highest seed playing the lowest instead of a bracket format. Regardless, those are my winners...

The tournament has ALWAYS been a bracket format Bentiss.

Sorry, I've only been there once and scored on my first shift with a broken arm and moustache against Michigan.

Bentiss, I heard you were tough enough to even play with a cast on. Is that true? Did you still wear pads or a glove?
