My semi-random observations from today...
-Michigan is as good as advertised
-Simon Fraser is better than most people (outside of the PNCLL) thought
-The SELC can be pretty good. Georgia certainly showed that, and I believe Florida will gain a lot of respect for playing a very tight game with a Chapman team that many expect to win it all.
-BC is legit. As a Cougar fan, they scared me to death...and my fears were not unfounded.
-Chapman and BYU had to play a lot harder than they wanted to in round 1.
-UMD has shaken off some of the rust. The tough schedule that they played early in the season should pay dividends now.
-CSU is one dangerous #7 seed
-ASU's offense looks to be back on track
-The quarterfinal games (Michigan/Georgia, Chapman/CSU, UMD/ASU, BYU/SFU) all look to be amazing games.
-My blackberry refreshed the BYU/BC game every 2 minutes as I drove down the freeway...until I got the dreaded DB connect error. I was so nervous, I had to call a buddy and find out what was going on.
-The quality of lacrosse played in the MCLA is increasing rapidly!
