Out of the 9 DII conferences, how many are eligible this year to have a representative at nationals? Which conference(s) are on probation?

I believe all but the CCLA have an AQ this season.

WCLL had a team leave early last year. What ever happened with them? Does the WCLL still have AQ for 08?

I believe that UC-I was ruled ineligible for votes in the top 25 and the postseason but the WCLL did not lose their AQ.

The WCLL didn't lose their AQ b/c the their representative did go to the tournament. UC-Irvine was punished individually.

Interesting rationale and since the CCLA champions Dayton were in Dallas representing, explain why the CCLA lost their AQ?

I believe it comes down to a team, Calvin in 2007, Salem State in 2006, not accepting their position at Nationals. It does not matter if it is an AQ or an AL position. UC-I is slightly different as they did go to the tournament but then decided to leave early.

curious as to why its not different. Im not saying what calvin did was ok (makes GVSU road to nationals harder) i just find it interesting that Irivine won out and then left early, but calvin didnt win their conference but declined an AL bid.

To me it seems the punishment should have been flipped. Calvin shouldnt be eligible but dont punish the conference that sent their conference champ. Irvine won their conference and slapped their conference in the face early by leaving so WCLL should be out of an AQ not CCLA. but what does it matter now, really.

Isn't there a minimum that 8 teams have to be in a conference to have an AQ?
If so the PCLL and LSA have 6 and 7 respectfully. And I don't believe the CCLA has one so there would be 6AQ and 6AL

I think it's 5 teams not 8... see RMLC Div 1 as an example.

It's 6. Even when Utah State was up for the last few years in D1, RMLC didn't have an AQ, they have all always been At Large

Why doesn't he RMLC try to get teams to compete in A divsion? They have 14 teams competing in B with 4 in the A divsion? Given teams that would take on that task would have their work cut out

I can understand why they wouldn't want to. Many say "why don't Saint Thomas and Saint Johns compete in division A in the UMLL"

The answer is they don't want to. Me personally, wish they would. Duluth has A division wrapped for years to come with the talent they have. Why not give them more for their money.

the RMLC tries to get teams to NOT compete in Div 1, the reason is up to interpretation. They have kicked out Boise State and made Wyoming and Utah State play down... their conference could easily get an AQ if they wanted one, but who cares when 3 of the 4 teams seem to make the tournament every year.

every conference should work like premier league soccer. the last place team in A division should play in the B division the next season and the first place team in B division should play in A division.
