I would put some money on the Gauchos in this game, but last time I did that, they lost to Florida and I never ended up paying Danny. I think you should ask Nick Dean and UCSD what happened when they faced UCSB for the third time at Nationals.

Completely Classless Schooler - I am tired of UCSB former players ragging on other WCLL players to feel better about themselves. It is almost sad to think people can reach a low point where they would have to bring up first or second round victories from YEARS ago. These players you rag on (Nick Dean, Pringle and Wooden- he was ragged on by a UCSB parent, even worse) are ALL better than you. Please do us all a favor and stop talking trash on players, especially those who dont feel it is necessary to defend themselves on this forum.

Settle down. First, I don't even know who you are, but thanks for calling out my anonymous profile. How can I comment on players now without having personal stabs directed towards me? Now that was uncalled for. I know Nick Dean and have played with him on several occasions. I think I might even be facebook friends with the guy. I love playing with the guy and I think he is the one of the best attackmen to come out of the WCLL. I'm sorry if that came off in a classless way. Hopefully he didn't take any offense to the statement. I probably should have put Mike DeWan instead because he is almost part of the family. So I'll take that one back. I have never met Pringle, but have held some bitterness towards him because I just don't think he has deserves the praise that he gets. Yeah he might be a good goalie, but 4 time 1st team WCLL?? No way! Is that so bad to think that way? I know a lot of other Sonoma players and coaches, and don't have any problems with those guys (as far as I know). Since you feel the need to continually trash a Dub C goalie, don't ever expect to be welcome as a Dub C teammate of mine ever again.

Plus, I have many bitter thoughts toward Brittan, but I have never gone online and trashed him over and over again the way you have toward Warren.

Alright - Classless may have been extreme but I stand by the fact these message boards should not be used for berating current players. I just dont feel that "having fun at someone else's expense while you are at work" is the purpose of these message boards.
I understand the dynamic between college teammates and yes calling out Dtrain probably would have been a lot cooler move than isolating Dean. In the long run none of this really matters, I just think the calling out of particular players is ridiculous and uncalled for. My two cents.

He's not "berating" anyone. He's doing the same thing people are doing on threads in every conference forum: discussing who is and who is not deserving of all-conference awards. So he doesn't think Pringle should be all-conference... I'm sure he's not alone in that. But the voters in that conference have chosen him over and over so there you go.

And Nick Dean was sick... I remember playing against him. How was he isolated? If UCSB beats ASU and next year someone says "Ask Westfall and ASU about playing a team three times.. Is that classless too?

The point made earlier was that UCSB beat UCSD the third time they played, suggesting that maybe UCSB can beat ASU like they did UCSD.

I saw Pringle play three games this year, Colorado State, Chico State, and Chapman last weekend. I thought he played like an all-star in all three games. From my perspective he looks like the leader of Sonoma's D and their team. He was a major reason Sonoma was able to get back in that game vs. Chapman and almost pull off the comeback. I see Sonoma going deep into the tourney, final four for sure.

I think you're being way too sensitive here. Beast never ragged on any of these players in that post. He was simply pointing out the fact that it's hard to beat a team three times in a season as was proven by the UCSD/UCSB contest two years ago. There was no slight to any of the players mentioned.

One reason it's particularly hard to beat UCSB three times is they have some of the most talented coaching staff in the MDIA with the ability to adjust extremely well. In that third game Nick Dean was almost completely shut down and was nullified. That's great coaching and I expect that same coaching staff will find a way to shut down ASU this time too!
