And so the madness has begun........

The 2013 tournament returns to Greenville, SC this May.

"We played down to their level." Is the west coast that stuck on them selves or what? They need to accept the fact that sooner or later the rest of club lacrosse across the country is catching up, and this is exactly where this program needs to be by the way.

I missed that quote peanut21. Who said it? And by program, I think you mean "league," no?

I think peanut is talking about Georgia........with all that went on today......ummmm, Georgia? Put the meth down son, pick up your stick, and go for a run to get them hotdogs off the back of your peanut neck.

You and imperial wizard (with that name how are you not going to ban him from these forums by the way?, Maybe I should change my name to Nazi) need a serious wake up call.

I was at the U of A vs BC game and I really thought Arizona had it in the bag. They were up 4-1 at half and dominating and then fell apart. BC's faceoff guy finally kind of turned it around and that helped. It was a fun game to watch, with good intensity. Both goalies are sick and made some hella nice saves. Should be interesting with the BC vs BYU game tomorrow, I could see it being good if BC played like they did in the second half.

I'm glad to see UMD, BC, NU do well. If one (or more) of them were to make the final 4, it would be great for the league in general. I think all are certainly capable of making that happen.

As a BYU fan, BC worries me since we haven't seen them at all this year. I hope that the Cougs play with urgency early in the game, so we don't see a repeat of the 1/9 matchup from 2005.

I was at PHP all day today and just some thoughts from the entire day:

- If BYU comes out tomorrow against BC the way they played in the first half today against A&M they could be going home early.
- ASU came to play, they looked very good today, really quick and hard to shut down. Fun to watch.
- Also, the CU vs. ASU game = very very physical lacrosse I bet all those guys are sore tonight.
- How was Michgan ever ranked #4 or above?? Even if they had a "bad" day today they still couldn't be that good when they have a "good or normal" day. They have a very boring offense that is very restricted in what it can and cannot do.
- NE blew out Michgan but they still didn't look as good as the score says, I imagine they will take UCSB tomorrow but not by that much....
- UMD is legit Noma not as legit as past Noma teams.
- SELC still way overrated. Flordia played a good game against CSU today but both Flordia and Georgia came out and learned what playing with the big boys during tourney time is really like.
- Lindenwood looked better than I thought they would be even though they loss I think they are soild and deserve some credit.

Sorry this is getting long but there was just to much to say but finally tomorrows forecast:
BYU vs. BC - BYU needs to come out strong to put this one away which I expect they will.
NE vs. UCSB - Don't expect the Gauchos to be as easy as the Wolverines but I do think NE could squeak by and get the win.
UMD vs. Oregon - Gonna be a good game could see this one going either way.
AND Finally Game of the Day....
ASU vs. CSU - Both teams are legit they like the face paced, phyiscal game which makes this game so fun to watch. I am feeling ASU right now (which usually isn't the case) but I think they will pull this one out in a close one....

I was hoping you could expand upon some of your observations. For those of us at home just looking at the scores, I didn't get this same feeling that teams were overranked or not legit or better than they should be -

Matchup Point Diff (+ for higher seed winning)

#1 v #16............+7
#2 v #15............+7
#3 v #14............+3
#4 v #13............-11
#5 v #12............+5
#6 v #11............+3
#7 v #10............-1
#8 v #9..............-1

Except for the #4 v #13 game, this trend looks like teams were ranked appropriately. But then again, I don't have the benefit of being at the games. Could you be more specific on why you think teams looked good or bad (i.e. ball handling, aggresiveness, speed, etc).

Sounds exactly like a first rounder the last year in the LOU when BC and Oregon tangled-Faceoffs in the second half completely changed the game-DON"T UNDERESTIMATE THE VALUE OF A FOGO!

I don't know if BYU has a good FOGO but BC definitely has one of the most dominating FOGO's I've seen. He is very capable of consistently getting the ball in their offensive zone. Most underrated position in lacrosse.

During the RMLC playoffs, BYU's Neil Watterson, won 30-39 (77%) faceoffs over two games (Utah and CSU).

Kind've off the subject, but I don't know if I have ever seen a better faceoff guy in person than Austin for BYU. I know that is going back a ways, but that dude was sick.

If i recall correctly Oregon has a very talented fogo this year, i think they call him Turtle? i could be wrong, my memory fails me from time to time. However, I know i remember a certain JD Hamman for SSU a few years back that was better at the face-off x than most others i've seen, dominating force in the possession game and had more moves than michael jackson

Good luck to those still left in the tourney, theres some good matchups today im pretty stoked.
