Report from my dad who went to the first games until first quarter of the second games:
- Was impressed with the fan support that Michigan, Oakland, and Sonoma brought. Overall, a lot more fans than he was expecting from the schools but those three stood out.
- Lindenwood looked like a deer in headlights in the first half which lead to some frustration type penalties but they got their stuff together in the second half.
- Best game of the first games was Oregon-Arizona. Both goalies were very good with Zona's winning the game in the 4th. I guess he made some good point blank saves.
- It is very hot today.....[insert complaints].
- Fields are in good shape, loves how you can go from game to game with ease and watch whatever you want.
- UCSB had nice blue uniforms.
That's what I got from him in a quick little conversation when he got home.

Glad to hear that they accomplished this. This was the main thing that was missing at Blaine last year and is the greatest thing about the MDIA tourney. Bluevelvet reported that all the fields have low rise bleachers and viewable scoreboards. . . .another item that was missing last year.

In looking at the Sonoma v. Northeastern score, I don't see Chris Cook's name anywhere on the stats. Did he play?

Any news on the Michigan/Oakland game? the stats don't seem to be updating.

There was really weak wireless connection on some of the fields and thats why some of the live updates were choppy at times. Sorry, but it should be better for tomorrow.

Cal Poly and UCSB both had a lot of fan support too. Lots of long faces on the FSU fans. The two most psyched up teams I saw UCSB & the Arizona LAXCATS. UCSB looked like a team on a mission and wanted to remind everyone that they are the defending champs.
Great analogy on the BYU - LU game. I watched most of the first and fourth quarters and BYU looked much quicker than Lindenwood. They were also winning almost all the physical battles as well. Depth may have come into play as well (especially in the heat).
Arizona and Oregon was definitely the closest and consequently the most entertaining game. Oregon shot just went wide with 3 seconds left that would've tied the game.
I felt sorry for NE and M-D. Bright red and Maroon are not the best colors to wear in the 90+ Texas heat.
Kudos to the Lady Rams coming out there in the heat to support the guys. It also doubled our fan base and we just about had as much or more than UT.
Possibility of rain tonight but it's not supposed to be as hot either (thank God)

Missed the Cal Poly/FSU game due to unforseen technical difficulties.
Enjoy the coverage.

Current temperature 85, heat index 93. Wednesday forcast - possible severe thunderstorms overnight, isolated showers early morning hopefully ending about the time the first games begin. Temperatures Wed. 75-80, dropping overnight into the 50's with Thursday's highs in the mid-70's then warming up again by the weekend.
Now that's some good lacrosse weather!

Had the brief opportunity to finally meet the infamous Sonny today, and didn't realize at the time I was working with Will from GT. The best part of the tournament aside from the games is getting to meet a lot people!
