2006 MDIA National Championship - location
I would have to say either at the Lake Highlands or Highland Park. They both have the artificial grass, and it is really nice and fun to play on.

Where ever the Board comes up with I'm sure it will be a great venue. If I'm up to it health wise I would like to take my Sons this year. So Texas would be a lot closer. I think both areas like the rest of the Country have a growing interest for the sport of Lacrosse.
But what happened to that complex in the Denver area? I guess that wont be ready for a while. I just think of all the locations spoken about, Denver would draw the biggest crowds and support and I feel that Denver would draw enough to be a money maker. In my opinion Lacrosse is bigger in Denver and Central Colorado then in Texas or Minnesota. But that is just my opinion because I spent 2 years of my life working there and saw the talent and interest first hand. I'm sure Texas and Minnesota have a great fan base for Lacrosse.
I hope in the future that the MDIA Board will move the National Championships to Denver in 2007. The Facility should be ready by spring of 2007. It is called the Prarie Gateway Sports Complex in Commerece City Colorado. There also is a lot to do for fans and families in the Denver area.
Just my two cents,

I like Diego too just like all the other beach bums and surf Guys. But Denver is a little closer to the central part of the Country and has a lot to offer. For 2006 as far as I'm concerned either Texas or Minnesota will do. But I like Texas a little better because it is close to New Mexico.
I just hope the MDIA will consider Denver in the future.
All the best,

I think there would be much more fan support in Denver as well.
I think you're right. If any of you have been to Denver to check out a Mammoth game, DU Pioneers game, or even a high school game, you would know how ridiculous the fan support is out here. The Mammoth sold out almost every game last year, the MLL All-Star game was a huge success over the summer, and I've never seen so many people in one town wearing so much lacrosse gear. I think after this MLL season in 2006, people will really understand how popular the sport is out here. If you don't mind going up and down stairs a little slower than at sea level, this would be a great city to host the tournament.
PS - If you consider yourself an athlete, the change in air density between sea level and Mile High is very overrated. This is one of the lower points of the state and it's really no big deal. Vail on the other hand...

Denver is a great place. Seems there's fantastic lacrosse support up there too... My only question is why does every suggested venue have to be so COLD?
Side note: I really have no idea what the weather in Denver is like in May.

Hot on the thermometer, but with no humidity it's perfect. The general concensus on Denver is pretty twisted. It's not up in the mountains and it doesn't snow every day from October to April. This is a town that will hit 100deg in July and you can still wear long sleeves and jeans. I wonder if evenutally having the tournament in a town that has an MLL franchise might help/be interesting. The MLL season usually begins at the end of May.
Did I mention it doesn't rain here in the summer?
