Tournament Suggestions for Next Year

Regarding roster changes, MCLA.us is locked down partway through the year so if someone changes a jersey number or position in the middle of the season, you can't just go in and change it because the "player is locked down for editing." There should be some things that are easy to change in there (like position, #, etc.) and some that are locked (like year in school and eligibility). Otherwise, Daryl is bombarded with hundreds of emails throughout the season to make inane changes that teams could make themselves. That could have been a big reason why MCLA.us rosters were incorrect.
Always on point . . .

Jersey numbers should be locked, what kinds of reasons, short of having a paramedic cut up a jersey, are there to justify jersey number roulette?

There were tons of jersey number changes I had to deal with over the last month of the season (conference tournaments and national tournament). As I said before, from a media standpoint, it is very difficult to handle all of these last minute changes on the fly.

Was any justification provided for the player's jersey numbers needing to be changed? This was discussed at our annual meeting last year, both at the MCLA level and the WCLL level.

Pick your excuse or reason. Player X changed jersey numbers because he left his other one at home, the jersey was lost or stolen, Player Y left the team and X wanted to change to a different number, etc.
You also had the other main problem of teams inputting players on the official MCLA.us roster with incomplete information (no jersey number, no home town, high school, weight, height, etc.).

Some teams might not want to put in height or weight for scouting purposes.

If the teams and conferences of the MCLA truly want to take it to the next level, that is most certainly not an acceptable excuse. Teams need to realize that the "press" needs accurate and timely information about their players & programs.

FYI, I was out a Pizza Hut Park this weekend and they are planning to re-fo the turf fields beginning this coming week. all the materials and those lovely little rubber beads are piled in one of the parking lots. they look like black sand at a construction site.
peace.

How about Nationals in Denver!!!
Dicks sporting goods park is quite comparable to PHP.
I know this idea has been thrown around before, but are there any updates on this as a possibility?

You can also throw in that the stadium is not near anything/downtown.
Just throwing that out there before we get to Denver in 20xx.

Yes, it's a possibility (for 2009 or beyond). But not for next year (2008).
