Itll probably be high 70s low 80s by tourney time, but being from the area... its the humidity you really need to worry about. Itll wear you down in a hurry.

Funny you should mention this. I just finished (literally 2 minutes ago) watching a Discovery OnDemand special on a Super Tornado hitting Dallas. Scary stuff. Maybe it's a good thing I probably won't be attending this year.

actually you and the rest of the staff were evacuated from the hotel a couple of years ago when the twister came thru the Lou-Dan and I slept through the whole thing, the aftermath was pretty cool.

So I wonder if it is 105 degrees for games during the tourny if everyone will instantly post how big of a mistake it was to move the tournament down to Texas?

Ohhhh 105 and humid is an extreme weather pattern for Texas in early May? So was snow, freezing rain and sub 32 degree temps in May last year at Blaine!!

The last five days have been 65-70 degrees, little wind and no humidity in Minnesota. Very typical for Spring in Minnesota.

Enjoy the heat in Texas boys!!

Guys, I will be the first to speak up. Drop it.

The decision was made. Whether it was a bad or good decision get over it. The tournament is in Tx for now. Deal with it. I hate to draw lines ever and certainly do not mean to here, but the point is let's embrace what we have. A national championship with some great teams that I hope will make the all the previous ones jealous.

I want to celebrate the first year in a long time that seems to have great parity. I am very excited to be there this year (as uber-scorekeeper) to see some great teams battle it out from 1-16.

Stop the weather issues, stop the facility issues, let's just unite (which lacrosse needs on a national scale) and present a unified effort to present some great lacrosse and present some amazing student athletes.

I wish everyone the best- A, B and WDIA. give it your all and realize the Tx people had nothing to do with the change but are excited and proud to host and present you all with a great week.

phew..sorry, just tired of the negativity, there is too much of that in lacrosse right now

Agreed. I am just pointing out that extreme weather can be an issue anywhere you go. St. Louis, Blaine, Texas....

Good luck to everyone in Texas. I hope the weather cooperates!

so did i hear that you are the Lead on the good weather committee? an we'll be sure to fine you $10 for every degree above 77 and $15 for every mph of wind above 3mph., since your the responsible party. get over it!

I'm just happy to see US Lacrosse embracing the volunteer support of the North Texas chapter. My understanding is that it was offered by the MN chapter last year and they really didn't respond to the offer.

goose boy,

Anyone on here would rather be hot and play in the sun that in freezing coold conditions (wind/rain/sleet/snow/etc). Freak weather incident in May or not, I'd rather take my chances on heat than freezing cold that would always be a possibility in Blaine.
