those are the five guys that made Michigan's Fab 5 jump to the NBA! :D

What a productive NBA career those players had.......

Michigan is the original Fab 5.....come on people, they brought us long shorts, no more John Stockton shorts.

I'm going to give UCSB the top spot for uniforms. I'm just really down with the classic look.

Rumblings of CSU switching to Black via the Journal

"We haven’t even decided on how our traveling (away) uniforms for ‘06 will look. Last month we were going to have Raider Black somewhere in all that we wore, but discussions have been reopened and who knows how we will be dressed February 23, 2006 in Santa Barbara. Our negotiations could reach NHL proportions before the final fashion decisions are faxed home."

all though im from north carolina...i hat unc...so im with you on the fact that michigan was the original fab 5...and that that unc fab five was terrible.

that being said...dont get it twisted, michael jordan is the one that brought long shorts to the game. not your fab five. he was wearing long shorts way before anyone else.

Yeah, this picture from his NC playing days - those shorts must come almost all the way down to the top of his thighs!

Anyway, the fact that Jordan once wore short shorts does nothing to disprove the claim that he was later the first to wear long shorts. He was also the first to do a Gene Simmons impersonation while dunking the ball.

thanks for backing me up here.

everyone still wore short shorts up into the mid to late 80's when jordan started wearing longer shorts to hide his north carolina shorts that he wore underneath his uniform for every game.

Haven't looked at this thread because I always thought UCSB had really basic looking uniforms, and that nobody like them. I have always been a big fan of the basic look, but we are making a slight change this year. We are adding a side stripe down the side that will match the shorts.

The Fab 5 arrived at Michigan wearing baggy shorts. They were brash on and off the court, but backed it up while changing college basketball. Oh, they also generated bags of cash for corporate America.

Good article on the Fab 5 from ESPN's page 2
