Past Tourney Upsets?

The 2013 tournament returns to Greenville, SC this May.

UNH beat Tennesse in 2000 at the tournament. I think we were seeded around 11th of 12 teams, Tenn somewhere around 5ish (I'd have to look that up). I remember it was a big win for us...the day before we were smoked by BYU in the opening game.

Not really sure Tennesse cared much after being beaten in the first round by A&M that year. Not to take away from that win, but that's a classic losers round game where you can't take much from the outcome.

I think that was BYU's first loss to a club team all year. Cal barely made the tournament and barely beat Auburn, the #8 seed.

But from what I remember, the game wasn't even close. Warner had 20-something saves and the Bears won by 8 or 9 goals and it was never in doubt. Kind of a head-scratcher for sure.
Always on point . . .
