IMHO I dont think kids for lacrosse idolize the big names like children do for football, baseball, basketball, etc. Also due to the small tv-time of the MLL, NLL and even college games.

That is a shame that the kyle harrison thing did not have a great turn out. maybe in the future we could move nationals to denver i know that they have the fields and the fans to make the nationals a great success. I know for sure that the youth turn out would be large. You cant walk the denver area with out seeing kids with sticks and goals in parks. I read in Lacrosse Magazine that colorado and california are leading the country in numbers when it comes to youth teams and camps. I am sure that with the right planning we could play on the Denver Outlaws field. I know that it can be done because every year at the CU CSU game there are tons of fans and hype around the city the championship games could be played at mile high! It would be awesome !

I actually agree. I think that trying to get Championship in Denver or Chicagoland in the future could give a ton of exposure to the league

John -

I am looking into this. I would think that we would need the support of the MCLA to pull it off. Not as much as "hosting and organization" - but more like a "blessing" or some of the board memebers present. MCLA signage and logos, etc...
I agree that the 4 teams competing would be in charge of finalizing the details, but want to use as PR as much as great games with those teams...

Sonny - do you have or considered ording Collegelax.us Banners for nationals??? That would be sweet for future events, and other locations...I think it might be a good idea to get some made if there arent any (i seriously dont know????) and might be able to sell some to some of the leagues for their confrence tourneys...this little added exposure might make the difference in web traffic from parents, players, HS players in those areas that arent as familar with our league.

Already one step ahead of you Rob. You will have to wait and see what we have in store for Dallas this year. ;)

I motion that we double Sonny's salary, is there a second? A raise is long overdue, we haven't even kept up with cost of living increases.

If there is a JumboTron Monitor (or whatever it's called) at the stadium then we should try and utilize that for advertising as well. Will Moss made up a pretty simple little slide show that we played on our monitor here this past weekend and it went pretty smooth. We had one for our website, one for our University, one for each teams roster/record, one for Harrow, and one for collegelax.us just scrolling throughout the quarters.

Just a thought, but I'm sure Will could use another job

Sounds cool. Hopefully Will got some shots of the JumboTron in action.
