Looking at this (and I may be reading it wrong) the "Best" in LG (I take this to mean Losers group) plays the worst in LG. Wouldn't it make for better matchups/more interesting games to have the 1 and 2 in LG play each other?

Just my $0.02.

Since those brackets aren't played out, we usually end up playing with the consolation bracket match-ups - trying to make interesting match-ups rather than following a strict bracket schedule.

Round One

Postby Dan Wishengrad on Mon Apr 18, 2005 1:53 pm

Kudos to the Tourney Organizers for a vastly improved and fairer first round schedule. No longer will a west coast team have to start warming up for the biggest game of their lives at 7am for 10am central time faceoff. You folks listened to past complaints and made corrections, and this needs to be recognized. Thank you from the Men of the PNCLL and WCLL A divisions!

Would have done the same thing in St. Louis if we had the field space to make it possible. This is part of the reason for the move to the NSC. We expect a few minor glitches this year with the move, but ultimately we're hoping for an improved event.

A Championship Game in Primetime? Wow... what a great chance to get some fans out to the game and really pump up the exposure for this year's tournament.

Nice work tournament team! After seeing the squeeze job in version 1.0, this brings a huge sigh of relief.

I also like how this schedule makes for so many viewing opps for local hs players. Hopefully they'll get the word and check out the 4/4:30 games.

I like the idea of holding the finals and semifinals at night. Should be interesting to see if that's how we are going to do it from now on. I think it will bring out the best crowd and a whole new atmosphere to the game.

I also think it gives a little extra rest for the teams. I know it's only a couple of hours but it if I was playing in the finals and knew I didn't have to play til 7:30, that's a lot better feeling then thinking I had to play at 2:30-3:30.

I like the time change as well. Nice job moving the semi's and championship game to night games. It gives teams who aren't playing a chance to go back to their hotels wash up, grab a bite to eat, and then head out for the night to watch some great lacrosse.
