General Manager - Iroquois Nationals

The Iroquois Nationals Lacrosse program is searching for interested and qualified candidates for the General Manager position for the “Under-19 Iroquois Nationals Team.” The U-19 Team will participate in the 2008 International Lacrosse Federation World Championships to be held in Coquitlam, British Columbia, Canada, July 3-12, 2008.

The successful candidate will report directly to the program’s Executive Director and will be responsible for the totality of team operations. Duties will include:

- Scheduling all tryouts and practices, with input from the coaching staff.
- Oversight of all logistical issues associated with practices and tournament events.
- Working with the Board of Directors, coaching staff and other staff members to insure all events are completed successfully.
- Communication with vendors and equipment providers to coordinate on-time delivery of supplies.

The ideal candidate will have prior playing, coaching or administrative experience in field lacrosse at the amateur, collegiate, professional or international level.

Please note that this is a non-paid position. Reimbursement will be available for all pre-approved out-of-pocket expenses and travel.

Head Coaching Position Announcement

The Iroquois Nationals Lacrosse program is searching for interested and qualified candidates for the Head Coaching position(s) for the “Under-19 Iroquois Nationals Team.” The U-19 Team will participate in the 2008 International Lacrosse Federation World Championships to be held in Coquitlam, British Columbia, Canada, July 3-12, 2008.

The Head Coaching position(s) will be responsible for the Iroquois Nationals entry to the U-19 World Games 2008 which includes:

- Selection of Assistant Coaching positions.
- Coaching, planning and implementation of team try-outs, practices, and tournament operations.
- Team selection in accordance with program standards
Communications with players and team personnel
Communicate with the Executive Director and General Manager.
- Perform in a capacity as Haudenosaunee Ambassador

This is a volunteer position supported with an approved expenditure allowance.
