CHICO STATE HEAD COACH

California State University, Chico invites applications for the part-time position of Head Men’s Lacrosse Club Coach. Reporting to the Sport Club Director, the successful candidate will participate in all aspects of maintaining a highly successful student-run, student-led men’s lacrosse club program. Responsibilities include planning and implementing daily practice, organizational duties, fund-raising, and providing leadership and mentorship of student-athletes. The candidate must also have the ability to abide by all policies and procedures of the Chico State Sport Club Program, the Western Collegiate Lacrosse League, the United States Lacrosse Intercollegiate Associates, and the California State University. This position is in the part-time pool in the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics and Recreational Sports and compensation will be $15,000 plus the opportunity for additional income through our 6th Annual Chico State Lacrosse Camp. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred. The successful candidate will have experience coaching lacrosse; knowledge of collegiate club rules and regulations; skill in training/instructing student-athletes; excellent interpersonal communication skills; demonstrated organizational and time management skills; and the ability to travel with the team. Chico State, a public, residential, four-year institution of approximately 15,800 students, is located in Northern California about 90 miles north of Sacramento.
