Western Michigan University's Men's Lacrosse Club is seeking Head and Assistant Coaches for the 2006-2007 fall and spring seasons. Applicants must have considerable playing and coaching experience, preferably at the college level.
WMU is a Division I MAC school with an undergraduate enrollment of over 30,000 students located in Kalamazoo, MI (halfway between Chicago and Detroit). Our team is consistantly competitive within the CCLA Division A (http://www.cclax.org).
The Broncos finished the 2006 season with a 5-5 record carrying a team comprised mostly of freshmen. We'll be losing only three seniors. The young defense is primed to be dominant in the CCLA. The organization runs a fall season traveling to tournaments in the midwest. The spring runs from December to April with 3-4 practices a week. Coaches work with students on the executive board to make financial and travel decisions but maintain autonomy over on-field issues.
Salary is commensurate with experience but usually ranges between $2,000 and $6,000 for the spring.
