Men’s Lacrosse Club
Annual Salary: Negotiable, DOE

Anticipated Start Date: September 3, 2013
Western Oregon University Men’s Lacrosse club is seeking a Head Lacrosse Coach for the 2013-14 season. This is a part-time, 9-month, annually renewable position.
Qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree and coaching experience are required. Collegiate coaching experience is preferred. Candidates must show a commitment to providing a championship caliber program for student-athletes on and off the field. Successful candidates will be familiar with the Men’s Collegiate Lacrosse Association (MCLA) and with the day to day responsibilities of running a competitive program including: lacrosse coaching skills, planning, organization, recruiting, fundraising, strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The head coach will be expected to attend all team functions including, but not limited to: practice, games, lacrosse camps, and any MCLA or PNCLL mandatory meetings. The head coach will be in charge of the entire on-field operations including managing players and staff. Typical duties include overseeing practice and games, coaching and recruiting of student-athletes, tracking student academic progress, enforcing player contracts, coordinating with team executive board with budget and travel, fundraising, and other related duties as assigned.

Western Oregon competes in the Pacific Northwest Collegiate Lacrosse League (PNCLL), a member of the MCLA. WOU is the 6-time reigning PNCLL Division 2 Champion and has made it to the MCLA National Tournament for the past six seasons. Western is located in Monmouth, Oregon, twenty minutes west of Salem.
