Head Coach - Loyola Marymount Men's Lacrosse Team

Loyola Marymount Men's Lacrosse Club is inviting applications for the position of Head Coach. This position is a 5-month appointment with the possibility of annual renewal. Next academic year appointment would be a 10-month appointment (Aug 05 – May 06)

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree and three years coaching experience required. With one year as a Head Coach.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Demonstrated coaching success at the collegiate level. Knowledge of the sport, and ability to teach both fundamentals and advanced strategies of the game. Experience in administration and budgeting of a team as well as player recruitment.

RESPONSIBILITIES: The Head Coach is responsible for all phases of a nationally-ranked men's collegiate lacrosse club. Responsibilities include coaching, administration, recruiting, and selection and supervision of assistant coaches. The head coach must also serve as one of the liaisons to the club parent group, and alumni group as well as the secondary contact with the Loyola Marymount Director of Sport Clubs.

SALARY: $5,000 stipend payable over 5-month period appointment. Opportunities for additional income follow the season through administration of MLAX summer leagues & tournaments. No benefits are included with this position.

THE PROGRAM: Loyola Marymount Lacrosse is a member of the Western Collegiate Lacrosse League, and the United States Lacrosse Intercollegiate Associates. The club is administered by the Office of Recreational Sports, and is a student-run organization. In existence for over 20 years, the club has enjoyed success over the last three years, including earning consistent USL MDIA National Ranking.
