Both girls and boys youth lacrosse coaches are needed for a fast growing youth lacrosse program, McLean Youth Lacrosse (MYL), in Northern Va. Experience and a background in lacrosse is preferred for these volunteer positions but not required. This is a competitive program at all levels from ages 6 to 14 (U9-U15). Candidates should have a passion for the game and a desire to see children develop life-long lessons. Tryouts and evaluations for the players begin in February and practice times are flexible to work with your schedule from March through the first week of June. Approximately 10 games are played (Saturdays & Sundays) and MYL participates in the Northern Virginia Youth Lacrosse League (NVYLL). The Bloomfield Hills Middle School Lacrosse Association (BHMSLA) in Michigan is seeking coaches for its girls' lacrosse club teams consisting of 3rd-8th grade players. The BHMSLA is a non-profit club affiliated with the Bloomfield Hills School District. The teams are "unified" school teams, i.e., they have one team in each age group for the entire school district. This is the inaugural season of competition for girls' lacrosse. BHMSLA is looking for a coach interested in helping to develop the program. The right candidate will be able to teach the game basics and rules, as well as skills and strategies.
